22 Kids and Counting Radfords issue brood update to M.E.N as 'dream comes true'

As any parent will know, there are many milestones with children that stick in the memory. And the point where your youngest no longer needs a pram is one of them.

For Noel and Sue Radford, parents to 22 children, it is an even more significant milestone than most. They've had an extraordinary 30 prams and buggies over the years, costing them thousands of pounds along the way to cope with their expanding brood.

But mum Sue, 48, insists that there are NO more children on the cards for Britain's biggest family. And that means they are now a pram-free zone at their home in Morecambe, Lancashire for the first time in decades.

That's because their youngest child Heidie is now nearing her fourth birthday. The Radfords have been reflecting on their milestones amid the launch of their first book about their extraordinary parenting journey, Making Life Count. The book shot straight into the book charts on its first week on sale.

Talking about the different stages of parenthood, Sue told the MEN: "I love them when they're kind of toddler stage when they're just exploring the world and chattering away. And when they get older as well.

"We do love the teenage stage, although that can sometimes be quite challenging, but we love all of the stages really."

But she added: "I definitely don't miss the sleepless nights and nappies! Our youngest will be four at the beginning of April. And no more prams either which is a big thing."

Sue said they now just keep a single buggy for when their young grandkids are over. "But our kids don't use it anymore," she added.
