'18 months max' prediction made as Tyson Fury retirement doubted

Tyson Fury has announced that he is retiring from boxing, making the move in a short Instagram video weeks after a loss to Oleksandr Usyk - but Manchester Evening News readers in our comments section doubt that it's the last we've seen of this Fury brother.

'The Gypsy King' has had a successful career in professional boxing, retiring for the second time with a record of 34 wins from 37 fights. 24 of those were knockout victories.

In a video uploaded to his Instagram account, Fury, 36, said, "Hi everybody. I'm gonna make this short and sweet. I'd like to announce my retirement from boxing. It's been a blast. I've loved every single minute of it, and I'm gonna end with this. Dick Turpin wore a mask."

Sportzbar writes: “He's 'retired'. Well gets him in the news I guess. I give it 18 months max before the rest of this charade plays out and he 'comes out of retirement'.”

Thedaytoday says: “Fair play to him. He has enough money to retire. Enjoy it while you’re young enough to do
