11 La Liga Stars Who Left And Then Returned To Their Previous Clubs

The Spanish La Liga will see FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid face each other on Matchday 23. Antoine Griezmann made a move back to Atletico from FC Barcelona earlier this season, but is currently out with an injury and is not expected to play in this match. Gerard Piqué

Current FC Barcelona centre-back Gerard Piqué joined the Catalan club's academy at the age of 10. After climbing through the various youth categories at La Masia, his first professional contract then came with Manchester United in England. Piqué later debuted in LaLiga Santander during a loan spell at Real Zaragoza, where he played 28 times and scored three goals. After making several appearances for Manchester United following that loan experience, Piqué then signed with FC Barcelona again ahead of the 2008/09 season, ready to fulfil his dream and play for the first team. Since then, he has spent 13 full seasons defending the Blaugrana colours and has just celebrated 400 LaLiga Santander appearances, having scored 32 goals in that time and having won eight league titles.
