Work is due to start soon on an all-weather football pitch in Sale. The impressive full-size 3G pitch is being built at Crossford Bridge on the site used previously by Old Altrinchamians FC.

Work has begun to demolish largely derelict buildings to make way for 80 new affordable and sustainable apartments next to Lancashire's Old Trafford Cricket Ground. The development opposite Old Trafford Metrolink station will consist of one five-storey and two four-storey apartment blocks with the estimated completion due in December 2025.
