The sources confirmed that physio Patrick Farhart and the team masseur had tested positive last week, while the player's test results returned positive earlier today. The entire Delhi Capitals contingent is awaiting its RT-PCR test results currently.

Vishwa Deenadayalan, an 18-year-old table tennis player from Tamil Nadu, died in a road accident while travelling from Guwahati to Shillong by taxi on Sunday, the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) said in a statement. He was travelling with three teammates from Guwahati to Shillong for the 83rd Senior National and Inter-State Table Tennis Championships, which is scheduled to begin on Monday. Ramesh Santosh Kumar, Abinash Prasannaji Srinivasan and Kishore Kumar, the three others travelling with Vishwa, suffered severe injuries but have been declared stable by the doctors attending to them.

Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) player Ambati Rayudu's 46-run knock against the Gujarat Titans might have gone in vain at the MCA Stadium here on Sunday night, but the right-handed batter managed to cross the figure of 4,000 IPL runs. The 36-year-old Rayudu became the 10th Indian batter overall to achieve the feat in the IPL. Rayudu, who has played 55 ODIs and averages a commendable 47.05, was first picked up by CSK in 2018. At the 2022 IPL auction, the franchise bought him again. Rayudu has scored 1,628 runs for CSK at a strike rate of 127.88. On Sunday, he scored his 46 off 31 balls in a losing cause.
