MILAN : A Luxembourg court rejected a claim filed by U.S. fund Elliott against Blue Skye, a minority investor in AC Milan, which has been challenging the 1.2 billion euro ($1.31 billion) sale of the Italian soccer club, court documents seen by Reuters showed.
The National Anti-Doping Agency's Disciplinary Panel (ADDP) on Monday revoked the provisional suspension imposed on Bajrang Punia till NADA issues a Notice of Charge to the wrestler, who had refused to provide his sample for dope test after the selection trials in March. NADA had suspended Tokyo Games bronze medallist Bajrang on April 23 and subsequently the world governing body UWW also took similar action. The trials to pick the men's national team for the Asian Olympic Qualifiers in Bishkek were held in Sonepat on March 10 and Bajrang had walked off the venue without providing his urine sample after losing a bout. He did not compete in the 3rd-4th place bout.

To boost the country's cricket ahead of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have announced a big pay hike for the country's cricketers. The SLC officially announced on Friday that "fees for all categories of Sri Lanka's international players have been increased, with immediate effect". "Accordingly, 41 players will be offered new contracts under six categories, namely, A1, A2, B2, C1, C2, and 'A' Team," SLC announced. Though the announcement has come ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup which will be held in the Caribbean and the United States, the biggest pay hike was for Test cricket with 100% on a merit basis. There will be different payment structures for a Test match 'won', 'drawn' or 'lost', SLC stated.
