How Can KKR Still Qualify For IPL 2025 Playoffs After Huge Loss Against Gujarat Titans

Kolkata Knight Riders' chances of reaching the IPL 2025 playoffs were dealt a massive blow as the Ajinkya Rahane-led side slumped to a 39-run loss against Gujarat Titans in Kolkata on Monday. It was KKR's fifth defeat in 8 matches as they are currently seventh in the IPL table with 6 points. Following this loss, KKR will have to win all of their remaining six matches to guarantee their spot in the playoffs. However, they can still qualify if they win 5 out of their remaining 6 matches but in that scenario, the net run rate and other team's results may play a huge role. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) slumped to their sixth defeat in eight matches in IPL 2025 on Sunday, losing by nine wickets to Mumbai Indians (MI). The defeat meant that CSK remain rock bottom in the IPL points table, with playoff hopes fading away. CSK's batting and bowling have failed to deliver consistently on many occasions, and the defeat to MI prompted former India cricketer and CSK legend Suresh Raina to question the franchise's strategy in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Shubman Gill, Gujarat Titans captain, was stumped by a question at the toss ahead of the IPL 2025 match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Kolkata on Monday. Former cricketer Danny Morrison, who was at the toss, asked him a strange question: "You're looking good, wedding bells around the corner? Getting married soon?" Stumped by the question, Gill started blushing and then replied: "No." Then he went on to add, "Nothing like that."  The question soon went viral on social media and some social media users did not like it.

Rajasthan Cricket Association Questions RR's Loss vs LSG In IPL 2025

The cricket pitch in Rajasthan seems to be turning into a political battleground, as the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) Ad hoc committee has raised serious concerns about the functioning of the State Sports Council. The committee has not only questioned its exclusion from the Indian Premier League (IPL) arrangements in Jaipur but also raised suspicions over the Rajasthan Royals' recent unexpected loss (to Lucknow Super Giants) in a match they were seemingly poised to win.

CSK Coach Stephen Fleming's Blunt Take On Jadeja-Dube's 'Conservative' Middle-Order Show

Head coach Stephen Fleming said Chennai Super Kings are “realistic” about their position in this year's Indian Premier League, but asserted that the five-time champions will leave no stone unturned to find players for next year. An out-of-sorts CSK suffered their sixth loss in eight matches after Mumbai Indians handed them nine-wicket hammering here on Sunday to keep the MS Dhoni-led side confined to the bottom of the points table.

Rohit Sharma's Two-Word Message For Abhishek Nayar Days After Team India Sacking By BCCI

Abhishek Nayar, who was associated with the Indian cricket team as an assistant coach since the last eight months, was sacked by the BCCI last week. While the side's poor performance at the Border Gavaskar Trophy is being seen as a reason behind  Nayar's sacking, some reports have made serious allegations. A report by PTI claimed that Nayar's removal was on the cards after Sitanshu Kotak was added to the Indian team's support staff as an additional batting coach.
