Fifty-five high! Huge interest in EWC as 24 Heures Motos entry list revealed

A sky-high 55 bikes are set for an FIM Endurance World Championship glory chase at Le Mans when the legendary French venue hosts the EWC season-opening 24 Heures Motos from 13-16 April. Revealed during event organiser l’Automobile Club de l’Ouest’s online press conference earlier today, the entry list features 18 Formula EWC machines, 34 Dunlop-equipped Superstock category bikes, plus three registrations from the Experimental class.

Team Moto Ain signs World Superbike racer Tamburini for “serious game” EWC

Roberto Tamburini will transfer his sprint-racing skills to the FIM Endurance World Championship after joining Team Moto Ain for the 2023 season. Describing the EWC as a “top-level championship” and “serious game”, the 32-year-old joins the Yamaha-supported operation that already boasts his fellow Italian Claudio Corti and young Frenchman Corentin Perolari in its rider line-up. EWC champion Hook back on track and feeling “really good” following Honda Suzuka shakedown

Josh Hook, who helped F.C.C. TSR Honda France win the 2022 FIM Endurance World Championship title, said the bike felt “really good” after he completed a shakedown test at Suzuka recently. Australian Hook, on his first outing since recovering from a broken wrist last November, was riding a 2023-specification Honda CBR1000RR-R at the Japanese track, venue of the EWC-counting Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race in August.
