To mark International Women’s Day (Wednesday 8 March), Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) has released a documentary, Women in Motorcycling. Produced in conjunction with WebsEdge, the FIM Women in Motorcycling Commission (CFM) has partnered with CanAm, BMW Motorrad and MUNER University for this very special project with the aim of raising the profile of female motorcycle sport and inspiring the next generation of riders.

Renamed Chromeburner-RAC41-Honda for the upcoming FIM Endurance World Championship, the Superstock category-winning French squad is aiming high in 2023. Counting on the same rider line-up that claimed top FIM Endurance World Cup points in last September’s 100th-anniversary Bol d’Or – Jonathan Hardt, Chris Leesch and Wayne Tessels – Chromeburner-RAC41-Honda is leaving nothing to chance in its preparations for the new season. Ad It has relocated to a new 300-square-metre premises tailor-made to its needs, launched its pre-season testing programme and entered Leesch in the French Superbike Championship to help make the Luxembourg rider even faster than before as part of a parallel programme.

Philipp Steinmayr travelled to Spain last week to start preparing for the defence of the FIM Endurance World Cup title he won in 2022 with Team 18 Sapeurs Pompiers CMS Motostore. Although the Dunlop-equipped Yamaha-powered French squad has made two new riding recruits for the upcoming EWC season, Steinmayr is confident of achieving yet more success in 2023.

Jonathan Rea, the six-time winner of the FIM Superbike World Championship, tried but didn’t quite manage a third victory in the Suzuka 8 Hours last August, settling instead for second place in round three of the 2022 FIM Endurance World Championship. Northern Irishman Rea and Englishmen Leon Haslam and Alex Lowes joined forces to ride for Kawasaki Racing Team in the 43rd edition of the famous day and night race.
