Australia opener David Warner announced on Friday that he has found his baggy green cap after losing it four days ago while travelling from Melbourne to Sydney before the start of the third Test match against Pakistan. The baggy green cap that Warner wore in his Test debut in 2011 was found at the team hotel in Sydney, although how it got there remains unclear. On Friday morning, Warner took to his official Instagram account and posted a video holding his iconic cap, thanking the people who helped find it.
Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar credited Jasprit Bumrah's incisive bowling for the series-levelling seven-wicket win against South Africa in Cape Town on Thursday, saying the pacer was rewarded for consistently bowling in the channel. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has effected a notable change in playing conditions, as per which the umpires henceforth will only assess the side-on replays for stumping without considering the caught-behind scenario during the Decision Review System (DRS) referrals. The modification has come into effect on December 12, 2023 and accordingly if a team wants to refer to caught-behind in the process of a stumping, it will now have to exercise a DRS option for the caught-behind appeal separately. In the series against India early last year, Australian wicketkeeper, Alex Carey widely used review for caught-behind after a stumping without exhausting the team's DRS option.
