Legendary Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram blasted a fan for the latter's 'inappropriate' comment on his wife. The ex-Pakistan captain had uploaded a picture with his wife days ago. Australia opener Usman Khawaja suffered a setback after his appeal against the sanction imposed on him for wearing a black armband during the opening Test against Pakistan was rejected by the International Cricket Council, a report said on Sunday. Last month, Khawaja was reprimanded by the ICC for wearing the black armband to mourn the children who have been the victim of the conflict between Israel and Palestine that has been going on since October last year. The 37-year-old, who was born in Pakistan and is the first Muslim to play Test cricket for Australia, had challenged the reprimand saying that the armband was for a personal bereavement.

Rayudu took to social media to explain that he will be taking part in the ILT20 tournament in Dubai as part of the Mumbai Indians franchise and as a result, he needed to let go of his political affiliations while playing professional cricket. "I Ambati Rayudu will be representing the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming ILt20 from jan 20th in Dubai. Which requires me to be politically non affiliated whilst playing professional sport," he posted on X (formerly Twitter).
