BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Saturday confirmed that the three-team Women's challenger will be held in Lucknow from May 24th to 28th after an apex council meeting of the board on Saturday. In another major development, the first play-off and eliminator in Kolkata on May 24 and 26 followed by second play-off and final at Ahmedabad on May 27 and 29 respectively will be held to full capacity.

The BCCI Apex Council will review the probe committee's report concerning India wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, who had accused journalist Boria Majumdar of intimidating him, at its meeting on April 23. The BCCI had formed a three-member panel comprising vice-president Rajeev Shukla, treasurer Arun Dhumal and Apex Council member Prabhtej Bhatia to probe Saha's allegation. The 37-year-old India discard appeared before the Committee last month and so did the accused journalist Majumdar and presented their respective versions. Saha had alleged that Majumdar intimidated him for not giving him an interview.
Eyeing a windfall of close to Rs 50,000 crore, the Indian Cricket Board on Tuesday floated the media rights tender for the 2023-2027 IPL seasons. The BCCI will arrange an e-auction for the new bidders for the first time in IPL history and it will commence from June 12, the board's secretary Jay Shah said. "With two new teams, more matches, more engagement, more venues, we are looking to take #TataIPL to newer and greater heights," Shah posted on his Twitter handle.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah's tenure as president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) was on Saturday unanimously extended by a year at its annual general meeting. Shah had taken over the reins of the ACC in January last year from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan, making him the youngest administrator to be re-appointed as ACC president. Addressing the AGM, Shah said the ACC's key focus would be to carry forward the development of the sport in the region.

The ICC recently announced that age group World Cup will finally take place next year after it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Veteran Indian wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, who has alleged that he was intimidated by a journalist for not giving an interview, on Saturday said he has revealed all the details to a BCCI committee probing the matter. A three-member committee on Saturday met Saha here on Saturday to probe into the 37-year-old's allegations against the unnamed journalist. "I have told the committee everything I know. I have shared all the details with them. I can't tell you much right now. BCCI has asked me not to talk about the meeting outside as they will answer all your queries," Saha told reporters after appearing before the committee in New Delhi.
