Indian captain Rohit Sharma achieved a big landmark on Thursday as he went past teammate Virat Kohli and New Zealand's Martin Guptill to become the leading run-getter in men's T20 international. Rohit surpassed Guptill's tally of 3299 runs when he reached a personal score of 37 in the first T20 international against Sri Lanka in Lucknow.
India captain Rohit Sharma on Wednesday responded to a query on batter Sanju Samson's chances of making it to India's squad for the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year. Addressing a virtual press conference on the eve of India's opening T20I against Sri Lanka in Lucknow, Rohit said that Samson's “shot-making ability” could be especially necessary in Australia.
