Indian cricket team wicket-keeper Sanju Samson's decision to not play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Kerala can massively dent his chances of getting selected for the Champions Trophy, according to a report by Times Of India. BCCI has made it clear that national side cricketers will have to play domestic cricket while not representing India. As a result, the report says that the selection committee is not happy with Samson's decision to skip the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Samson was not picked by the Kerala Cricket Association for their squad after he expressed his unavailability for the camp ahead of the competition.

India To Play Three Four-Day Matches In UK Ahead Of England Tests

Stung by the massive defeats against New Zealand and Australia, the BCCI has decided to organise three four-day matches in the UK ahead of the Test matches against England to give the players an opportunity to get a feel of red-ball cricket. The dates and venues of the matches against England Lions are yet to be fixed but they will take place in the UK after the IPL final on May 25, as the tour begins with the first Test at Leeds on June 20.

India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has made himself available for Delhi's next Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra beginning in Rajkot from January 23, DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma said on Tuesday. Pant last played a Ranji Trophy match back in the 2017-2018 season. However, there is no clarity over the participation of superstar Virat Kohli, who last featured in Ranji Trophy for Delhi back in 2012.

This comes amidst the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)'s directive that players missing domestic matches during the home season must provide a valid reason, which will be reviewed by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) or their respective state association.
