El piloto alemán de Haas perdió el control de su monoplaza en un bordillo y fue directo contra los muros de la curva 12. Mick, consciente, fue trasladado al centro médico para confirmar su situación física. Mientras, las asistencias recogieron un Haas en dos trozos con restos de fibra de carbono por el asfalto.
