Romeo Ferraris stays second in standings after Jarama

Romeo Ferraris confirmed its second position in the standings of the FIA ETCR championship after the third round of the 2022 season, held at the Spanish circuit of Madrid Jarama-RACE. Despite not having been able to express its maximum level of competitiveness, the manufacturer based in Opera (Milan) earned another 110 points valid for the Constructors’ ranking, with Maxime Martin second in the DHL Super Final of the FURIOUS pool. Confident Romeo Ferraris heads to Jarama for FIA ETCR

Romeo Ferraris heads to the third round of the FIA ETCR eTouring Car World Cup scheduled on the historic Spanish circuit of Jarama-RACE with competitive action starting this Saturday. The Spanish stage arrives back-to-back after the round held in Budapest last weekend, with a very positive points accumulation for the manufacturer based in Opera, near Milan. Azcona and Venturini win Pool FAST Semi Finals

Strategy was at the heart of both Pool FAST Semi Finals in Budapest, with Hyundai Motorsport N’s Mikel Azcona and Romeo Ferraris’ Giovanni Venturini taking the wins in their respective races. Pool FAST Quarter Finals see Ekström and Martin race to the top

The first Quarter Finals for FIA ETCR RACE HU took place this afternoon, with CUPRA EKS driver Mattias Ekström taking the chequered flag first in Quarter Final 1 and Maxime Martin claiming the same in Quarter Final 2 for Romeo Ferraris. Ekström started the race on Pole but lost the lead early on to former team-mate Mikel Azcona who remained at the front for the majority of the 3-lap race, while Hyundai Motorsport N’s Kevin Ceccon was left with third place after running wide at the first corner.

Ekström fastest in Pool FAST Qualifying

CUPRA EKS driver Marcus Ekström claimed top spot in both Pool FAST Qualifying sessions this morning, topping the overall timesheets with a commanding 1:53.442 lap. The Swede set his fastest lap during Qualifying 1, unable to improve in the second session after a slight slide and rising track temperatures. Ad/> Hyundai Motorsport N’s Mikel Azcona secured second place in 1:54.132, set during Qualifying 1, while Romeo Ferraris’s Kevin Ceccon completes the top three thanks to a 1:54.284 lap set in Qualifying 2.
