Spinners are always expected to dominate in India but the most successful bowler on the opening day of the second Test against Australia, Mohammed Shami, believes the home conditions also offer enough help to the pacers. Shami ended with a four-wicket haul to help India limit Australia to 263. Spinners Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin picked up three wickets each. At the start of the innings, Shami relentlessly targetted the good length area that helped him get rid of David Warner.

While Ashwin completed his full action, he didn't deliver the ball to turn around and check the position of Labuschagne. The latter took his crease quickly after spotting Ashwin's action.

The left-handed Warner scored one and 10 at Nagpur last week and has struggled for form since scoring 200 in the Boxing Day Test against South Africa in Melbourne. "I'm not a selector. I don't think they've had a meeting but I'm sure Davey will be there," Cummins said of Warner's inclusion in the New Delhi Test, which starts Friday.

Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc is optimistic about his chances of returning to the side for the second Test against India in New Delhi, aiming to boost a beleaguered side that lost the opening match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Nagpur by an innings.
