Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that it only took him one day to bounce back from his team's failure to win the quadruple last season.
To play every single game possible in a season nowadays seemed impossible for an English club, until Liverpool rewrote the history books last season. It’s a feat that likely won’t happen again for some time. Although their disappointing end to the season left the Reds feeling a tad empty-handed that left the feat unappreciated.
Jurgen Klopp has described Roberto Firmino as the «heart and soul» of his Liverpool side, but admitted that the striker's long-term future was uncertain. Reports in Italy have linked the Brazilian with a move to Juventus, who are looking to replace Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala. Ad/> Firmino has only a year left on his deal, and Liverpool may therefore be keen to cash in on a 30-year-old who could depart on a free next summer.
Liverpool's failure to win the quadruple last season. Klopp's side came within two matches of football immortality, only to fall just short as Manchester City pipped them to the Premier League title on the final day of the season. Liverpool followed that near-miss by losing the Champions League final 1-0 against Real Madrid to leave them with just the FA and League Cups to show for their incredible campaign.
