As Mithali brought an end to her illustrious 23-year-old international cricket, Twitter was flooded with congratulatory messages for the 39-year-old.
Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday issued a cryptic tweet about his "new journey" that raised speculations about his continuation as BCCI President, forcing the cricket board secretary Jay Shah to clarify that he has not resigned from his post. "The rumours doing rounds about Mr. Sourav Ganguly stepping down from the post of BCCI President are factually incorrect," BCCI secretary Jay Shah issued a statement to PTI.

Sri Lanka is keen to host the upcoming Asia Cup which will start from August 27 this year onwards and is making arrangements for it, said an Asian Cricket Council (ACC) source.
