The 39-year-old lasted merely 19 games in the hot seat at Easter Road before club chairman Ron Gordon decided to part ways with the former Celtic player, saying he had hoped the appointment of a “young, highly regarded coach” would help take Hibs forward but conceded that simply “it didn't work out.”
