Big-hitting all-rounder Kieron Pollard shocked the world on Wednesday as he announced his retirement from international cricket. The maverick player called it time after playing 123 ODIs and 101 T20Is for the West Indies. He announced his decision on social media through a statement which was also accompanied by a video showing the major cricket highlights in Pollard's journey. "Hi all, after careful deliberation, I have decided to retire from international cricket. It was a dream of mine to play for West Indies since I was a 10-year-old boy and I am proud to represent the West Indies for over 15 years in T20 and ODI format of the game," Pollard had announced on his official Instagram page.

Looking at the overall tally, Rahul achieved the feat in third-fastest time, behind West Indies batter Chris Gayle and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam. Rahul achieved this milestone during his knock of 30 runs off 24 balls for LSG vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2022 on Tuesday.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) captain reached the huge milestone during his side's Match 23 fixture against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the ongoing IPL 2022 season. The batter smashed a six off Kagiso Rabada's to seal the unique feat but lost his wicket in the next delivery itself as he got a massive top-edge to Vaibhav Arora at short fine leg. The only other Indian batter to reach this milestone is none other than Virat Kohli. Meanwhile, other than Rohit and Kohli, only Chris Gayle, Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard, Aaron Finch and David Warner have reached 10,000 in T20 cricket.
Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has added another feather to an already illustrious cap as he completed 10000 runs in T20 cricket during the match against Punjab Kings at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Wednesday. The Indian skipper became the seventh batter overall and second Indian after Virat Kohli to reach the milestone. Needing 25 runs prior to this match, Rohit (10003) achieved the feat in style as he clobbered paceman Kagiso Rabada for a six to cross the 10000-run mark. West Indian legend Chris Gayle is sitting right at the top with 14562 runs to his name followed by Shoaib Malik (11698), Kieron Pollard (11484), Aaron Finch (10499), Virat Kohli (10379) and David Warner (10373).
