Hull FC have moved to the top of the Academy Championship table following a 44-10 win over Bradford Bulls on Saturday afternoon.
Brett Hodgson has made one change to his squad to take on Wakefield Trinity on Sunday afternoon. The Black and Whites will travel to West Yorkshire in the hope of extending their fine run of recent form, but they’ll have to do so without Carlos Tuimavave.
Brett Hodgson is hopeful of being able to call on Ligi Sao, Carlos Tuimavave and Jordan Lane this weekend as travel to Wakefield Trinity. The trio all picked up issues during the Black and Whites’ last outing against Wigan Warriors and there were fears they could be looking at lengthy lay-offs.
The improvement in Brett Hodgson’s is clear for all to see this season. After suffering nine losses in their final 10 games last year, the Black and Whites have turned their fortunes around and, at the time of writing, they look capable of kicking on to claim a spot in the Super League’s top four.
It’s fair to say Hull FC have had a satisfactory first half of the season. It’s not time to get carried away, but they currently sit fifth in Super League, they have sorted out their home form, and they are sticking to their own processes and systems.
Brett Hodgson will be relatively happy with what he’s seen from his players so far this year. The Black and Whites currently sit fifth in the Super League table and they look more than capable of claiming a play-off spot at this moment in the time.
Connor Wynne has been encouraged by the progress of youngsters this season as they continue to edge towards the senior ranks. The Black and Whites currently have the only unbeaten academy side in the country and there is plenty of optimism within the club about the crop of talent working its way through the system at the MKM Stadium.
Hull FC have reached the half-way point in the Super League season and it’s fair to say Brett Hodgson will be pleased with what he’s seen from his side so far. currently sit fifth in the league table but they’re breathing down the necks of those above them and in the coming months they’ll fancy their chances of breaking into the top four.
