The JAS Motorsport-built Honda Civic Type R TCR scored its 60th victory of 2022 with a magnificent win by the VGRT team in the IMSA Challenge finale at Road Atlanta in the United States of America last weekend. Of those 60 wins to date two have been scored by Néstor Girolami in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car for ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport.
Mads Fischer, TCR Project Leader for JAS Motorsport, the company behind the WTCR race-winning Honda Civic Type R TCR, has praised the work of LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler after it claimed the ADAC TCR Germany title last weekend. LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler, which runs Goodyear-equipped Honda Civic Type R TCRs for Tiago Monteiro and Attila Tassi in the WTCR − FIA World Touring Car Cup, also operates an ADAC TCR Germany squad.
The key timings for WTCR Race of Bahrain, which marks the penultimate event of the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup season and the first time the series has visited the Middle East, have been revealed. Scheduled as part of 8 Hours of Bahrain FIA World Endurance Championship season finale, the event takes place at the Bahrain International Circuit from November 10-12.

The Hungarian showed strong pace throughout the opening day of the weekend at Circuit l’Anneau du Rhin earlier this month until he was delayed on his final run in Qualifying Q2, which cost him a place in the top 10.
Comtoyou Team Audi Sport driver Mehdi Bennani is set to start Race 2 at WTCR Race Alsace GrandEst from pole position on the partially-reversed grid following the conclusion of Qualifying at Anneau du Rhin this afternoon. The Moroccan qualified 10th for the opening race in his Goodyear-equipped Audi RS 3 LMS, defeating LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler’s Attila Tassi to the position by just 0.034s and converting that into Race 2 pole under the series’ regulations.
Néstor Girolami stormed to his third WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup pole position of 2022 with a perfect performance in qualifying at WTCR Race Alsace GrandEst. The ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport driver lapped Circuit l’Anneau du Rhin in 1m26.546 during the single-lap pole-position shootout in Q3 to take the top spot from home hero Nathanaël Berthon of Comtoyou DHL Team Audi Sport. Ad/> Having set the pace in Q2, Girolami had free choice of when to complete his Q3 lap; the Argentinian choosing to go last of the five drivers who had made it into the final section of Qualifying.
Norbert Michelisz showed that BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse will be a force to be reckoned with at Circuit l’Anneau du Rhin by heading a one-two result for the team in an ultra-tight Free Practice 2 at WTCR Race of Alsace GrandEst. The Hungarian and his Spanish team-mate Mikel Azcona controlled the session throughout; Michelisz saving his best effort of 1m26.769s until the final lap of the session to set the pace by just 0.003s.
