Paul Stirling To Lead As Ireland Announce 15-Player Squad For T20Is vs India
Cricket Ireland on Friday named a 15-player squad that will face India in a three-match T20I series between August 18 and 23 at Malahide. Ireland will welcome India for a three-match T20I series set to be played in Malahide between August 18-23. While the majority of the squad reflects the playing group that successfully qualified for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup last week, the selectors have recalled Leinster Lightning all-rounder Fionn Hand and have included Gareth Delany who is returning from injury after breaking his wrist in Zimbabwe in June. The upcoming series is the first T20 action for the national side since securing T20 World Cup qualification and is being treated accordingly as part of the strategic planning for that tournament scheduled for June 2024.

Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday appointed vastly experienced Andy Flower as their head coach, officially ending the term of Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar. Rajesh Menon, vice-president and head of RCB, met Flower in London for discussions before drafting him in.

India's mammoth 200-run victory marked their 13th consecutive ODI series win against the Windies. Namibia Qualify For U19 Men's Cricket World Cup 2024
Namibia were crowned champions of the Africa Qualifier and have booked their berth for the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka next year, informed ICC on Sunday. Namibia became the third team to punch their tickets for the U19 World Cup 2024 through the Qualifier route. Last month, New Zealand went through from the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier while Nepal advanced from Asia in February 2023. The three teams join 11 others — Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe — who automatically qualified as the best-placed Full Member nations from the previous edition in 2022.
