It seems more people are upset by Ally McCoist's criticism of the Tartan Army's booing off the national anthem than they were by the result that followed against England at Hampden. Brian Hendry said: "So Ally McCoist is branding the Scotland fans 'SNP fans' because they booed God Save The King? He never has a word to say about the home support being up to their knees...every second week at his beloved Ibrox, which is more offensive than booing a national anthem." John Scott, Port Glasgow , added: "Re Ally McCoist's "disappointment" with Scotland fans booing God Save The King. Why isn't he asking why the ENGLAND team is using the BRITISH national anthem? Also booing does not make a person an SNP supporter, perhaps they are just not royalists or or perhaps they are familiar with the deleted verse from the song."
