COPENHAGEN: Jonas Wind scored one goal and made another as Denmark cruised to a 2-0 win over Austria in their Nations League Group A1 clash at Copenhagen's Parken Stadium on Monday that leaves the Danes top of the group after four games.
Denmark breezed a lacklustre Austria in Copenhagen to stay top of Nations League Group A1. The win moves Denmark five points ahead of third-placed Austria and two clear of second-placed Croatia, who beat France 1-0.
France remain rooted to the bottom of Nations League A Group 1, condemned to their second defeat in four games by Luka Modric’s penalty which, along with Denmark’s win against Austria, eliminated the holders from the competition with two games still to play. Croatia, meanwhile, move up to second, two points off the lead, and were good value for a fine win.
