Millions of people in the UK living with a disability will be eligible for a one-off, tax-free payment in September. Earlier this year, ex-Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the payment as part of a £15 billion cost of living support package.
The payment is intended to target the most vulnerable households in the country that are likely struggling to cope with the cost of living crisis plaguing the country.
It comes after growing concerns surrounding skyrocketing bills during the winter period, with some experts suggesting that annual energy bills could rise to well above £5,000.
However, not everyone will be eligible for the £150 disability payment and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has laid out some clear guidelines.
