England are striving to keep their unbeaten record going against Malta in Group C of the Euro 2024 qualifiers. The Three Lions have already guaranteed qualification to next year's tournament but Gareth Southgate will not want his players to take their foot off the gas.
With one draw and six victories, they can still get a maximum of 22 points and they will be hoping to complete the double over their opponents after a 4-0 victory in the reverse fixture.
Southgate will be without Jude Bellingham, James Maddison and John Stones due to injury. Bellingham had initially been called up to the squad but returned to Spain so that he could continue his shoulder rehabilitation.
Maddison and Stones look like they will be longer term absentees. Tottenham Hotspur man Maddison has been ruled out until January with an ankle problem and Stones of Manchester City has had a relapse on a hamstring issue.
