Manchester United fans could not hide their excitement after news of a fresh bid for Antony emerged. The MEN broke the news earlier today that United are lining up a new bid for the 22-year-old winger.

Erik ten Hag has been interested in reuniting with the his former Ajax player all summer as the Dutch side hold out for a large transfer fee.

It is believed that United will need to submit an offer of around €100million (£84.15million) to secure his services this transfer window.

The Eredivisie side are in a strong financial position due to multiple player sales this summer, not least the money received from Lisandro Martinez's move to Old Trafford.
