Gabriel Jesus has refuted claims he and Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson have fallen out. The two were teammates at Eastlands before Arsenal paid £45million to bring Jesus to north London last year.
Still colleagues on the international stage, the Gunners forward has been forced to downplay suggestions of a rift between the pair.
Arsenal and City went head-to-head last weekend in a fiercely contested Premier League clash. Pep Guardiola’s side were defeated late on, with another Brazilian, Grabiel Martinelli, bagging an 86th-minute winner. But tensions spilled over at full-time as players from both sides came together with fury. Kyle Walker and Erling Haaland clashed with Arsenal’s set-piece coach Nicolas Jover while Ederson, furious at perceived time-wasting in the dying minutes, confronted Jesus.
