A video of Australian cricket team stars Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa having a hilarious conversation with a taxi driver is currently going viral on social media.

In the video, the taxi driver was heard having a conversation about cricket with the two stars but he failed to recognise the World Cup winners. “Do you know anything about cricket?” Maxwell asked the taxi driver and he replied that it was his favourite sport.

However, he had no clue that two Australian cricketers were sitting in his cab and when asked about Maxwell, he even said that he was a "good player".

Eventually, he was able to recognise them. According to some social media posts, this video is a few years old. Meanwhile, Australia head into the two-Test series against the West Indies beginning in Adelaide Wednesday as the hottest of favourites, but the visitors insist they are ready to shock the reigning world Test champions.

Glenn Maxwell is a vital cog in Australia's white-ball set up but he must "hold up his end of the bargain" after his "less than ideal" incident in Adelaide, said head coach Andrew McDonald. Last week Maxwell was hospitalised in Adelaide after he got too drunk after attending a concert by 'Six and Out', the band featuring former Australian pacer Brett Lee and passed out. He wasn't kept in the hospital for long and was discharged soon after and is now back in training.

After taming Pakistan 3-0 in December and early January, the world Test champions thumped the West Indies by 10 wickets in Adelaide last week. They are heavily favoured to again sweep past their under-strength opponents in the pink-ball Test at the Gabba, a format at which the Australians excel. However, Covid has hit their camp with allrounder Cameron Green and coach Andrew McDonald the latest to come down with it on Wednesday. (Live Scorecard)
They "didn't cross paths" but Australia captain Pat Cummins was at the same venue from where his World Cup-winning teammate Glenn Maxwell was rushed to hospital after a reported late-night drinking session and the star pacer responded to the incident by saying "any decision you make you've got to own it". Both Cummins and Maxwell were attending a concert by 'Six and Out', the band which features former pacer Brett Lee, in Adelaide. Cummins said he left the venue much before his teammate allegedly lost consciousness and had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
Australia's cricket team has been hit by Covid-19 ahead of the second Test against the West Indies, with all-rounder Cameron Green and coach Andrew McDonald the latest to come down with the virus on Wednesday.
