Australian cricket team batter David Warner made a Hollywood-style entry in a helicopter ahead of Sydney Thunder's Big Bash League match against Sydney Sixers at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The reason for Australia batter's unique entry is that he attended his brother's wedding in Hunter Valley and flew directly for the match.

Warner recently called time on his Test and ODI career. The 37-year-old batter played his last Test match against Pakistan, where he scored 57 runs and helped Australia claim 3-0 clean sweep in the series.

In his marvelous 13-year-long career, Warner played 112 Tests and 161 ODIs and broke numerous records. Apart from his heroics with the bat, Warner is widely popular for entertaining acts on the field.

Australian cricket team batter David Warner took to social media to share a special post after the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Ceremony on Monday. Warner extended his wishes to the people of India through his Instagram post and it has already gone viral. "Jai Sri Ram INDIA," Warner wrote on his Instagram account and posted a picture of Lord Ram. Earlier, South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj also posted a video on social media to celebrate the occasion and he had a special message.

Australia opener David Warner, who recently retired from Tests, has questioned the decision of the country's cricket board to impose a lifetime 'leadership' ban on him. On being Warner suggested that the decision doesn't make any sense considering he will be eligible to coach Australia in the future. The 36-year-old was banned from captaining Australia for playing his part in the ball-tampering scandal during the South Africa tour in 2018. The player was also banned from cricket for a year, along with the then captain Steve Smith and batter Cameron Bancroft, for altering conditions of the ball during the Cape Town Test.

Star Australia batter Steve Smith opined that his team did not take him seriously when he told them that he wanted to move to the top of the batting order after David Warner's retirement. Smith said today that looking at himself as an opener for the first time in a 13-year Test career first came to his mind while playing against England during last year's Ashes series when Warner first gave signs of his potential retirement from the longest format of the game.

Australia batter David Warner, fresh from his retirement from Test cricket, returned to action in the Big Bash League (BBL) on Friday for the Sydney Smash between Thunder and Sixers. Warner arrived at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in a helicopter, having played his last Test at the same venue earlier this month. Warner's Australia teammate Steve Smith was in the dugout for the Sixers, who had won the last four meeting between the two sides prior to Friday's game at the SCG. As the Sixers were asked to bat first by the Thunder, the former Australia captain had an interesting little exchange with each other.
