Tyson Fury has backed Joseph Parker to beat Joe Joyce when they face off for the WBO Interim title on Saturday - although he reckons the belt should be renamed because of the pair's unique qualities.
Parker and Joyce go head to head in Manchester on Saturday for the coveted title. The fight was given the green light after talks initially broke down between the camps in the summer.
Fury's been putting close pal Parker through his paces whilst training in Morecambe ahead of the ensuing spectacle. And the Gypsy King is adamant that Parker has what it takes to emerge victorious one way or the other on the night although the New Zealander's been out of action since his unanimous win over Derek Chisora last December. May the best man win, but I’m edging towards my man, Joe Parker, by late stoppage or unanimous decision.” But Fury reckons the pair share such a likeable nature that the fight should be given another title to reflect their nice guy traits.
