KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton will have surgery on his dislocated wrist, sources told ESPN on Monday. Bolton is expected to miss six weeks, the source said.
The surgery is scheduled for Tuesday in Los Angeles, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. He is sixth on the Chiefs this season in tackles with 28.
He missed three games earlier in the season with an ankle injury. The Chiefs are likely to replace Bolton with Drue Tranquill, who filled in for Bolton during his absence with the ankle injury.
Tranquill leads the Chiefs with 37 tackles and also has 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Bolton injured his wrist in Sunday's 31-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on a tackle of wide receiver Keenan Allen in the fourth quarter.
