Scott McTominay sparks Celtic transfer plea as stadium ranking nod from Man United star has fans saying one thing

Scott McTominay aced a quiz during an interview - but it left optimistic Celtic fans pedalling a wild transfer theory this January.

McTominay has been a mainstay of the Manchester United team this term and has become a Tartan Army hero having fired seven goals for Steve Clarke's side as they booked their spot at a second successive Euros.

A double against Spain got the nation dreaming after bagging a brace against Cyprus in the opening game. Further strikes against Cyprus away and Georgia at Hampden and in Tbilisi kept the red hot streak going - but those heroics didn't jump to mind straight away for the 27-year-old.

When taking part in a speed round of quiz questions with GOAL he was asked to name five stadiums outside of England - with the national stadium failing to get a mention.
