Super Eagles of NigeriaThe Super Eagles of Nigeria played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia in an international friendly match at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão in Portugal on Friday.

The first half of the game lacked any bite in almost all departments, but the second half was worth it as the two countries came up with four goals to eventually share the spoils.Two second-half goals for Nigeria were not enough, as Mohamed Kanno’s stoppage time free-kick goal off a deflection from Calvin Bassey sealed a 2-2 draw for the Saudi Arabian side.The Green Falcons took the lead on the hour-mark after goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho showed his match rustiness by mishandling a corner kick, flicking the ball right into his own net.Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface netted the equalising goal for Nigeria courtesy of an assist from Moses Simon, who got a pass from fellow substitute, Kelechi Iheanacho.Leicester City forward Iheanacho struck in the 81st minute for the Super Eagles against the Saudis but his goal was not enough for Nigeria as their opponents got a late equaliser.Follow Us
