Rangers bound Ridvan Yilmaz has given an emotional final interview to the Turkish media with the full back left in tears by his Besiktas goodbye.

The Turkish international is set to become Gio van Bronckhorst's seventh signing of the summer with the club moving quickly to replace by Calvin Bassey after his big money move to the Eredivise champions Ajax.

The Turkish club's £6m asking price had proved a sticking point but reports suggested that the 21-year-old had left Beskitas' Spanish training to undergo a medical, with Yılmaz and the club both breaking their silence over a deal.

Yilmaz has spoken to Turkish media ahead of a move to the Scottish Premiership has already been completed behind the scenes with full-back set to bring the curtain down on a 13-year association with Besiktas.
