Manchester City players teased Rico Lewis about his England call-up when he returned from international duty this month. Lewis, who has only just turned 19, was a surprise name in Gareth Southgate's squad after a meteoric rise under Pep Guardiola and the teenager was awarded man of the match for his performance in the 1-1 draw with North Macedonia.
Having become the second-youngest Englishman to debut for the national team, more progress this season could see Lewis be selected for the European Championship next summer in Germany.
