Manchester City won the Treble last season but have been knocked into second place in the Deloitte Money League. City topped that particular table last year and enjoyed an amazing 2023 as they picked up five trophies through the year as well as achieving record revenues for a British club.
However, that has only been good enough for the runners-up spot in the Deloitte table for this year as Real Madrid have risen to the top by accumulating €831m ahead of City's €826m.
Strong retail performance, higher stadium attendance following the redevelopment of the ground, and recovery of sponsorship income following the Covid-19 pandemic are all significant factors in Real Madrid adding an extra €118m to their revenues.
Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Manchester United complete the top five, while there are another three Premier League clubs in the top 10.
