Real Madrid: Dani Carvajal’s skill vs Atletico’s Antoine Griezmann goes viral

A clip of Dani Carvajal leaving Antoine Griezmann on the ground with a beautiful piece of skill during Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Atletico has gone viral. Real Madrid sealed all three points thanks to first-half goals from Rodrygo and Federico Valverde.

Rodrygo opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a wonderful finish from Aurelien Tchouameni’s excellent pass. The in-form Valverde then doubled the visitors’ advantage at the Wanda Metropolitano with his third goal in as many games.

Mario Hermoso set up a grandstand finish thanks to a fortuitous 83rd-minute goal but Los Blancos held on to their advantage and remain top of the La Liga table, two points clear of rivals Barcelona.

Judging by the reaction on social media, Real Madrid fans enjoyed seeing Carvajal ‘sending Griezmann to sleep’ as much as the victory itself.
