A striker is in the door and now a left-back is the next position Philippe Clement seeks to strengthen at Rangers. Record Sport revealed on Thursday night that PSV's Fredrik Oppegard and Philadelphia Union man Kai Wagner are two full-back stars that have been scouted by the Light Blues.

Fabio Silva has signed a six-month loan deal from Wolves to become the first signing of Clement'sreign but they are not yet done in the market.

Now an opening has emerged to make an Oppegard move should they wish to pursue that deal. It has been reported by respected Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink that the left-back is one of two PSV stars who the Eredivisie leaders may let depart, should they not pick up any more injuries.

The Norwegian has made one sole appearance for the senior PSV side this term - a one minute cameo in the Champions League against Arsenal - but has played nine times for the youth side.
