January may be the time of year for new arrivals, but it's also when Scottish Premiership managers take their squads off to sunnier climes for the now cliched "warm weather" training.

Depending on how the season is going, these are essential getaways to help the new guys settle in and allow for more time on the training pitch due to the lack of snow, wind and rain.

Or, they're not actually essential and it's just as beneficial (not to mention cheaper) staying at home. They've backfired in the past; Celtic's infamous jaunt to Dubai in 2021 ended up being a PR disaster.
