PSV issue immediate Rangers revenge cry as Dutch giants crank it up ahead of Champions League rematch

PSV aren't beating around the bush - they're out for revenge against Rangers. Still smarting from their Champions League playoff round defeat to the Light Blues last year, the Eredivise club have wasted no time in setting their stall out ahead of next week's rematch.

The sides were set on a collision course before their third round qualifiers against Sturm Graz and Servette respectively. Now that both are through, it's round two and the Dutch giants have a score to settle.

Almost immediately after the playoff tie was confirmed, they tweeted a graphic confirming the details of the first leg in Eindhoven with the caption "Time for revenge." Just like last year, it's Ibrox first up before Michael Beale takes his team to the Netherlands and he'll be hoping he can repeat what Gio van Bronckhorst did in the Phillips Stadion, where an Antonio Colak goal sent Rangers through and banked them a £40million prize pot.

That result cost Ruud Van Nistelrooy his job, but PSV now look like a different animal under former Ajax boss Peter Bosz. They had one foot in the playoff round after thumping Sturm Graz 4-1 at home last week.
