Police issue update on investigation into sex attack at pub

A man who was arrested by police investigating a sexual assault at a pub in Stockport has been released under investigation, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to the Royal Oak pub in Edgeley at around 9.50pm on Saturday (August 19) to reports that a male was giving 'unwanted, physical attention' to women.

A man was arrested and taken to custody on suspicion of sexual assault. Police said they believed that five other women may had been assaulted.
