Police have issued a new image of a missing girl who is believed to be in Greater Manchester. Payton was last seen at a bus stop in Emmett Street in St Helens, near Wigan, at 8.44pm on Saturday (July 29).

Officers say she was seen to get onto a bus in the direction of Ashton-in-Makerfield, indicating she was heading towards the Wigan area and then on to Manchester. In a previous appeal, Greater Manchester Police said the 14-year-old was last seen in St Helens at about 4.30pm on July 25.

Officers said Payton was last seen wearing all-black clothing and described her as being around 5ft tall and of slim build with blonde hair.

However, officers have today released a more recent image of Payton on social media as part of a fresh appeal for help to find her.
