John Stones left Goodison Park with his ankle in a protective boot as Pep Guardiola criticised the match officials for their role in Manchester City's latest injury.
Stones 'doesn't look good', according to Guardiola, after he went down trying to stop Everton striker Beto in City's 3-1 Premier League win, when the forward was through on goal.
Frustratingly, Beto was a yard offside, with the assistant referee behind play and therefore waiting to raise his flag for the attack to come to an end.
Only when Stones had stopped the danger did the flag go up, but by then it was too late and he picked up an injury that could keep him out of City's next game.
