Australian Tennis star Nick Kyrgios has pleaded guilty to assault charge levied against him by former girlfriend. The prosecutor told court that Kyrgios pushed his then-girlfriend to the ground.
Kyrgios shoved Chiara Passari with his open hands after a heated argument outside her apartment in Canberra, according to an agreed statement of facts tendered to the court.
Kyrgios appeared in a Canberra court on Friday. The Wimbledon finalist hobbled into the court building with a pair of crutches and a brace on his knee after suffering a "gruesome" injury that sidelined him at last month's Australian Open.
Kyrgios arrived for the hearing flanked by his current girlfriend Costeen Hatzi, an interior designer, and his mother Norlaila.
