Eddie Howe insisted Newcastle haven't thought about revenge ahead of playing Manchester United in the Carabao Cup. United defeated Newcastle 2-0 in last season's Carabao Cup final at Wembley thanks to goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford, which gave Erik ten Hag a trophy in his first year in charge of the club.

That was a response from Howe to comments made by Ten Hag about his side's timewasting before the Carabao Cup final, but the Newcastle boss was keen to stress there was no animosity from his perspective this week.
Howe spoke ahead of Wednesday night's match in the Carabao Cup when a place in the quarter-finals will be up for grabs. "It features right at the top of our priorities because it's our next game.
