A murder investigation has been launched after a 37-year-old woman tragically died in a house in Bolton on Sunday (September 3).
Police attended the scene on Bushell Street at around 11.20am along with paramedics following a call reporting the concern for the welfare of a woman.
The woman, aged 37, died at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services. An investigation was immediately launched by Greater Manchester Police, with detectives continuing to try and 'fully establish the circumstances' of what led to the woman's death. A 41-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning while enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Janet Malone, from Greater Manchester Police’s Bolton district, said: “We are continuing to investigate all of the details of this incident and have moved quickly to look at all details and evidence available to us. “We have a man in custody, but we are still working to fully establish the circumstances of what tragically led to the death of this woman.
