Muhammad Ali‘s grandson Nico Ali Walsh produced arguably the best performance of his career to date by knocking out Reyes Sanchez in two rounds on Saturday night at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California. Walsh stopped Sanchez with a peach of a left hook in the second round as he extended his unbeaten professional boxing record to 6-0 since making his debut last August.
It was actually the second time they have fought having previously shared the ring together in December. Back then, Walsh was declared the winner by majority decision, but he wasn’t wholly satisfied with his performance overall. Coincidentally it was held at the same venue where Walsh’s grandfather had his jaw broken by Ken Norton in their 1973 classic.
The American came out strong from the opening bell and snapped Sanchez’s head back with an accurate jab to take control of the first round.
